The simple answer is that there is a need for fiction for young adults who are Catholic, Christian, and conservative. I am unapologetically square. I am not going to wrestle with the many complex issues of our current time. By that I mean politics, controversial societal issues, and cultural positions. There is enough venom spurted and blood spilt all over the Internet without the need to spurt and spill more.
